Common Cyber Threats in India

Example: "Your account will be blocked. Click here to verify KYC immediately."

Vishing (Voice Phishing)

Fraudsters call pretending to be bank officials, RBI representatives, or police officers to extract your banking credentials.

Example: "I'm calling from RBI. Your account has suspicious activity. Please share your OTP."

Fake SMS messages with malicious links claiming to be from banks, government agencies, or delivery services.

Example: "Congratulations! You've won ₹5 lakhs. Click to claim your prize."

Scammers trick users into accepting money requests instead of sending money, or sharing UPI PINs through fake customer care calls.

Example: "To receive refund, accept this payment request and share OTP."

Fake messages claiming your KYC is expired or needs immediate update, leading to phishing websites that steal your information.

Example: "Your KYC will expire in 24 hours. Update now to avoid account suspension."
